New Years Eve

We woke up New Years Eve to snow, lots and lots and lots of snow. When it finally decided to stop snowing, we measured about 20 inches of new snow. It is biting cold outside, so the snow is not going anywhere anytime soon. Zach is in heaven! Brandon was supposed to go to work, but they couldn't even make it down Main Street without doing donuts and sliding everywhere so they came home. He and Zach shoveled all day. Then we tried to stay warm inside and watch the Sun Bowl.

For New years Eve, Brandon's family has a big party at his Grandma's house. This year there were 29 of us there. The boys cook all afternoon on the back patio. They cook halibut, shrimp, coconut shrimp (Brandon's specialty) and crab legs. We also have ham, salads, fruit, veggie trays, little smokies, chips and queso, homemade rolls and a yummy punch. Zach loves the shrimp and this year he ate the crab legs with Papa and loved it! the spread
Every year we do some sort of gift exchange. This year everyone was to bring a $10 gift card and to wrap it creatively. Kathy made this cute Santa mostly out of toilet paper and paper towels. There were some very creative wrapping jobs, duct tape and ice were popular tools. We also had a "live" rattlesnake, a sandwich, a UFO, a cardboard dollhouse and ten dollars in pennies. It was alot of fun and great to do something different!
