November Happenings

It is crazy that in just 2 days it will be December! I have been such a blog slacker. Mostly I have not taken pictures of very many things. One Monday morning I decided that we were going to potty train Zach. The diaper fairy came early and took out all of his diapers and left him some treats and a box of Capri Sun. We started that morning when he woke up and he has done great! I have had these Buzz/Woody light-up cowboy boots for a few months as incentive for him to go on the potty. So on Monday I had him in a shirt and just his big boy undies and his boots. He did NOT like being without pants! My modest little boy. Such a sad face
I had him take a nap on the couch so I could wake him up and take him potty often. He said he wasn't tired, but this potty training stuff is exhausting!
Such a Proud boy!
My Zach will NOT take pictures in a studio. This fall we tried THREE times to get him to take some at the school on picture day. I tried, Aunt Wendy tried and even Grandma tried, and we ended up with the same result--a sad little boy usually with his hands in his mouth. On the last day he wouldn't do it, I took him outside when we got home and with my less than professional camera- lo and behold some VERY cute pictures were taken! What a difference the camera makes! So, here are a few of the pics from that day....oh how i love this boy! He makes my heart sing!!

These two of my favorites! just being silly

We made a countdown chain for FHE, counting down the days until Marnee and Pots and Amanda came for Thanksgiving. He loved taking one off each day.

Good luck with the potty training. We just got Chris trained a couple weeks ago, and the first few days are the hardest. Now, he does GREAT! We have had very few accidents. He still uses a pull-up for night-time and nap-time because I don't think he is old enough to have control while he sleeps... so once he starts waking up dry at nap-time and such, we will do away this those too.

Who ever said potty training is easier than diaper lied! :)
